Our class went to steelfield landfill. It took 45 minutes to get there. It didn't smell that bad. It's not that messy. There are many seagulls, vultures, crows, and bald eagles. This landfill was here since 1987.Every year the workers measure the size of the landfill.(If you mix concrete with ash you will get strong materials such as strong concrete that lasts 100 years long). Now we are in the woods. The trees look so nice. There are picnic tables, blossom trees, and benches.Mr.Glenn ,our tour guide, shows us what the workers do at the landfill. Then we go to the restrooms. When every one was done,we took a class photo with Mr.Glenn,Mrs.Kathy,and Mrs.Belenda.
Notes:The landfill is 140 feet tall above sea level!
The garbage mostly comes from bay county!
Vultures, eagles, crows, and seagulls come to the landfill searching for food.
The workers pumped 25,000,000 gallons of leachate because of the rain!
Leachate is poisonous!
LET'S MAKE THE EARTH BETTER THAN WE FIND IT!!!!

OMG!The incinerator smelled beyond what you think. It was super stinky!I saw how the garbage was burned. There are buttons to control thing like water, fire, and air.We had to wear safety goggles and hard hats(helmets). The stairs and rails were so dirty and when I touched them I got so disgusted.Mr.Bart and Mr.Bryan our tour guides showed us almost every thing they do in the incinerator. They were nice and very fun.Over all I think it was a exiting field trip.
Notes:There are 42 employees.
5 of them work a day.
Most of the medal goes to birmingham.

Thank you for your time teaching us about how you burn garbage. We had so much fun learning about the facts that you taught us.This field trip was very smelly compared to the landfill. But it was fun.By the way did I mention the flies flying everywhere. EWWW! I know I am complaining to much but it is true.I think it was the best field trip.

MUSEUM FEILD TRIP ,May-7-2014
Today we went to the museum. It was so much fun.I learned about the tabacco. We learned how many calories it was made of.Smoking can kill 50000 people a year.Than we went to checkout these amazing pictures that describes how smoking kill you. They used all kinds of art.Is saw many eyes made by Bay Haven,North Side, and last but not least....Rising Leaders Academy(us). We had to make our eyes. After that we played at the museum. Then we raced out side to eat lunch. Finally we raced as fast as our feet can take us to the swings and rope like a vine in the jungle. We played until our bus came. That was so FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! l am looking forward to going there again.
